Losing a Loved One- July 2022

From left: Panelists John Muhlenberg, Phyllis Rubin, Ralph Lee, Janis Johnston and moderator Catherine Gallogly.

This program was inspired by AWN members who recognized the value of sharing what they learned through their partner's illness and death. Each of the three panelists  reported different experiences. Some loved ones died at home, others in the hospital. Some called on family and friends for support; others struggled alone. Yet there were also similarities. The audience heard about regrets. Particularly poignant was the story of how the inability of a couple to face the severity of the husband’s condition robbed them both of the opportunity for a loving goodbye.
